About MacGold
MacGold Direct has been selling Mac software, by mail-order since 1993. It was the first Mac games specialist retailer in the UK.
From May 1993 MacGold Direct was a regular advertiser in MacFormat, The Mac and MacWorld and occasionally appeared in MacUser. But since 2002 it has concentrated solely on online marketing.
MacGold’s first website began selling online at Xmas 1995 and its current ecommerce website is run from three webservers based in the UK, Canada and Texas.
MacGold Direct is a family-run company based in Scarborough, North Yorkshire and it is still run by the original co-founders Christopher Hudson and Renee Stonehouse.
